Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the SomrGas platform — the Gas Cylinder Purchase, Sales, and Inventory Management System operated by Som Region Gas (“the Company”), headquartered in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

1. Eligibility & Authorised Access

Access to the SomrGas platform is granted exclusively to:

• Employees and staff of Som Region Gas who have been assigned a valid user account by a system administrator.
• Authorised branch personnel with role-based permissions appropriate to their job function.

Sharing login credentials with unauthorised individuals is strictly prohibited. Each user is personally responsible for all activity performed under their account.

2. Permitted Use

You may use the SomrGas platform solely for legitimate business purposes related to:

• Recording and managing LPG cylinder purchases from authorised suppliers.
• Processing and invoicing cylinder and accessory sales to customers.
• Monitoring real-time inventory stock levels across branches.
• Maintaining supplier and customer records.
• Generating operational and financial reports as permitted by your assigned role.

Any use beyond the scope of your authorised role is not permitted.

3. Prohibited Activities

You must not use the SomrGas platform to:

• Enter false, misleading, or fabricated transaction records.
• Attempt to access accounts, data, or system areas beyond your assigned permissions.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the platform’s source code.
• Introduce malware, viruses, or any code intended to disrupt or damage the system.
• Share, export, or disclose confidential business data to unauthorised parties.
• Use the system for any purpose that violates Ethiopian law or regulations.

4. Account Responsibilities

As an authorised user, you are responsible for:

• Keeping your username and password strictly confidential.
• Logging out of the system when your session is complete, especially on shared devices.
• Notifying your administrator immediately if you suspect your credentials have been compromised.
• Ensuring that all data you enter is accurate, complete, and relates to legitimate business activity.

The Company reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account found to be in violation of these Terms without prior notice.

5. Data Accuracy & Integrity

The SomrGas platform relies on accurate data entry to produce reliable inventory counts, financial reports, and business insights. Users are expected to:

• Record all purchases and sales promptly and accurately.
• Report discrepancies or errors to a supervisor or administrator immediately.
• Not delete or modify records without proper authorisation and justification.

The Company is not liable for business decisions made on the basis of incorrectly entered data.

6. Intellectual Property

The SomrGas platform, including its design, code, modules, reports, and all associated content, is the exclusive intellectual property of Som Region Gas and its technology partners. You are granted a limited, non-transferable licence to use the platform for authorised business purposes only.

Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership rights to users. Reproduction, redistribution, or modification of the platform or its components without written consent is prohibited.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Ethiopian law, Som Region Gas shall not be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from platform use or unavailability.
• Loss of data resulting from user error, hardware failure, or events outside the Company’s reasonable control.
• Business decisions made on the basis of reports or data generated by the system.

The platform is provided “as is” and the Company makes no warranty that it will be uninterrupted or error-free at all times.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. Any disputes arising from the use of the SomrGas platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

9. Changes to These Terms

The Company reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Revised Terms will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the platform after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

Where changes are material, users may be notified by the system administrator.
